RealityRogue has specialized in Apple's AR stack since ARKit 1.0. Apple Vision Pro did not change what we do; it extended where it runs. The tracking, anchoring, and rendering skills our consultants built on iPhone are the same skills visionOS apps are built on, and since iOS 27 and visionOS 27 they are literally the same framework surface.

Why ARKit expertise transfers to Vision Pro

visionOS runs ARKit. World tracking, plane detection, hand tracking, scene reconstruction, image tracking, and object tracking are exposed through ARKit data providers in a visionOS immersive space, and the content is rendered with RealityKit, the same engine that powers RealityView on iOS 18 and later.

With iOS 27 and visionOS 27 (announced at WWDC 2026, developer betas now, public release expected September 2026), ARKit reference objects are cross-platform: train an object once and the same .referenceobject file tracks on an iPhone and on a Vision Pro. For enterprises that means one tracking model, one asset pipeline, and two form factors — a handheld device for field staff and a headset for hands-free work.

If you already have an ARKit app, you already have most of a visionOS app: your anchors, your USDZ assets, your interaction model. What changes is the input (hands and eyes instead of touch), the windowing model (windows, volumes, and immersive spaces), and the expectations around comfort and passthrough.

What we build

Spatial apps. SwiftUI windows and volumes for visionOS — the right starting point for most business apps, because they coexist with the user's other apps and with passthrough.

Immersive spaces. Mixed and fully immersive experiences for training, visualization, and entertainment, built with ImmersiveSpace, RealityKit entities, and Reality Composer Pro scenes, with hand and eye input via ARKit and the visionOS gesture system.

Enterprise object-tracking workflows. Reference-object training with Create ML, object anchoring on visionOS, and the iOS 27 cross-platform path so the same trained objects work on the iPhones your team already carries. Typical applications: guided assembly, maintenance overlays, inspection checklists, and parts identification.

Spatial Accessories integrations. visionOS 27 introduces the Spatial Accessories framework for tracked physical controllers and tools. We integrate tracked accessories into immersive experiences where precise, hands-off-the-headset input matters — surgical and industrial training, design review, and simulation.

Shared experiences. SharePlay sessions and shared world anchors so that several Vision Pro users, or a Vision Pro user and an iPhone user, see the same content in the same place.

Port or rebuild? A straight answer for existing iOS AR apps

Not every iOS AR app should be ported to visionOS, and not every one that should be ported should be ported as-is. We offer a fixed-scope assessment of your existing app that answers three questions:

  1. What carries over unchanged? Assets, data models, networking, business logic, and RealityKit content (if you are already on RealityKit).
  2. What has to be re-thought? Touch-driven UI, ARSCNView rendering (SceneKit is deprecated; see our SceneKit → RealityKit migration service), camera-frame access (visionOS does not expose the passthrough camera to third-party apps outside enterprise entitlements), and anything that assumes a single rectangular screen.
  3. What is the visionOS version for? The best Vision Pro apps are not phone apps on a bigger canvas. We map your use case to the window, volume, or immersive-space model that fits, and tell you honestly if the answer is "keep it on iPhone."

You get a written report with an effort estimate by tier and a recommended architecture that keeps one codebase serving both platforms wherever that is realistic.
